Public Forums: Behavioral Health Needs of Children in Maine

Disability Rights Maine (DRM) has heard from many families whose children are unable to access in-home and community-based services (sometimes referred to as Section 28 and/or 65) due to long waiting lists and we want to ensure that you have an opportunity to share your story with the Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS).  Community forums will be held to talk about children's behavioral health needs and DRM & OCFS each want your input.  Come share your experience with the current behavioral health services system, including any challenges you and your family may be experiencing.  If you are unable to attend one of these forums but still wish to provide feedback, you may submit written comments to OCFS.  Please see below for more information.

OCFS Children's Behavioral Health Services welcomes either written or spoken comments at the hearing. In addition, written comments will be accepted through close of business on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 and should be submitted to:
