OADS Virtual Listening Session: Regulations Governing Behavioral Support, Modification and Management for People with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism

The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Disability Services is hosting three virtual listening sessions on 14-197 C.M.R. Chapter 5, Regulations Governing Behavioral Support, Modification and Management for People with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism in Maine. The goal of these virtual listening sessions is to gather input on our current rule which can be found here. This is not a formal comment period or a replacement for the formal comment period required by the Maine Administrative Procedure Act.

We encourage individuals receiving services through the Department of Health and Human Services, their families and guardians to attend the March 26, 2021, session in particular, but all are welcome. Members and their families and guardians may attend another session as well.

All are welcome to attend. To register for one or more listening sessions, please email Hilary Gove at hilary.gove@maine.gov. A Zoom meeting link will be provided following registration.

If you require accommodations to attend these sessions (for example sign language or other language interpreters, etc.) please contact Hilary Gove in advance at hilary.gove@maine.gov.
