There is a lot of misunderstanding regarding vision loss, visual impairments and blindness. As we continue to educate society, more and more people are becoming more knowledgeable about the spectrum of vision loss and the ways someone with a visual impairment can maintain their independence through Maine’s Division for the Blind and Visual Impairment (DBVI) services.
