Job Location: Falmouth, Maine

Disability Rights Maine (DRM), a progressive non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure autonomy, inclusion, equality, and access for people with disabilities in Maine, has an opening for a full-time Advocate in its Falmouth Office.

The duties include supporting applicants who are D/deaf and hard of hearing with communication equipment selection, installation and training, processing equipment orders and invoices, maintaining a program budget, conducting satisfaction surveys, generating quarterly program activity reports, and maintaining detailed documentation of client status.

Qualifications include working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook and the ability to understand multiple databases, strong communication skills, ability to work independently, strong organizational skills and a commitment to the civil rights of all people and the ability to work with individuals with a variety of disability characteristics and cultural backgrounds. Conversational ASL skills or currently learning ASL is required. The successful candidate will be expected to complete the assigned tasks with a high degree of independence, while working within DRM's team-oriented atmosphere.
