Cathy returns to DRM as the Special Projects Director for collaborative initiatives that intersect our programs' work. She will also be managing DRM’s voting access work across all programs. Cathy first came to DRM in 1989 as a PAIMI advocate before becoming the Consumer Affairs Director for the former DMHMRSAS (merged now with DHHS). She later returned to DRM as an advocate in our Deaf Services program and provided consulting on various DRM and other disability rights-based projects over the intervening years. Most recently, Cathy was the ADA/Civil Rights Coordinator for DHHS. She returns to DRM excited to continue the work of increasing and amplifying the voice and influence of people with disabilities through the Vote and other areas impacting our rights and lives. Cathy expresses her Disability Pride as a psychiatric industry survivor and activist and brings that passion to her work.
