Emilie joined DRM in 2018 as an advocate. She works under the Protection & Advocacy for Individual Rights (PAIR) and Protection & Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security (PABSS) programs on issues including discrimination and employment.
Emilie came to DRM shortly after receiving her B.A. in Economics and Government & Legal Studies at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. During her undergraduate career, Emilie spent time working as a companion for children and young adults with nonverbal Autism, and those experiences shaped her desire to work towards ensuring autonomy, inclusion, and equality for people with disabilities.
