Mary Green has been a zealous advocate for Mainers for 20 years. Her passion for justice and fighting for those that need help grew out of a place of personal experience with violence. Prior to joining DRM, she worked with people impacted by domestic violence as a court advocate, volunteer coordinator and front-line shelter worker. She then first joined DRM’s Developmental Services team as the Aroostook County advocate where she advocated and educated people about their rights. Mary then worked as the Executive Director for the Aroostook County American Red Cross for three years. While at the Red Cross she coordinated one of the biggest fundraisers in the state, deployed to national disasters, maintained partnerships, and helped to manage and sustain donor dollars and volunteers. Mary loves public speaking and education, and believes strongly in advocating and helping others to find their own voice, and making sure that every person counts. Mary has rejoined DRM’s team and will work across all programs as the Aroostook County advocate.

Mary lives in Caribou with her husband Jay and enjoys cooking, baking, hiking, and traveling.
