Mary joined DRM in August 2015 as the Patient Advocate at Acadia Hospital in Bangor. Additionally, she is actively involved with the Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) Advisory Council, DRM’s Kid’s Team and is a member of the Ethics Committee at Acadia.Mary is a tireless advocate for the men, women and children who receive inpatient services from Acadia.

Prior to coming to DRM, Mary was the owner and CEO of an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) for children with dual diagnoses for 10 years. She also owned and operated a horse rescue where she served at-risk youth in her community through therapeutic riding and community based social experiences. There, she also rescued and re-homed several abused a neglected horses.

A Native Mainer from the capital city area, Mary graduated, cum laude, from the University Of Maine Farmington and Augusta where she majored in Early Childhood Education, Psychology/Sociology and Law.
