Atlee is a Managing Attorney at Disability Rights Maine, where he has worked since 2012. Atlee manages the legal work that DRM does on behalf of children. Prior to moving back to Maine to work at DRM, Atlee worked in private practice at the School Law Center in St. Paul, MN and as an attorney at Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services on an Equal Justice Works Fellowship. Throughout his career, he has represented children and their families on a wide range of education related issues. Atlee has extensive experience as a trainer on education law, disability rights, juvenile justice, and other civil rights issues. He received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, his M.Ed. from Arizona State University, and his B.A. from Bowdoin College. Prior to becoming an attorney, Atlee was an elementary school teacher.
