The Peer Support Group will be gathering on April 29th from 10-11am! Location: GBSD Cafe, at the ME Educational Center for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing. Peer Support Group (PSG) is a monthly gathering for adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities who use signs and gestures to communicate.
On April 29th, we’ll have a special training on Health Self-Advocacy. Health is important to everyone. Taking care of your health looks different for each of us. Health self-advocacy allows you to take control of your health the way YOU want. This presentation will provide helpful tips to advocate for your health in medical settings. For example, how to ask your doctor questions, how to ask for interpreters, and more.
