We Thrive Together Workshop: In Person

August 5 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

6 lessons, July through August 2026. Virtual on Tuesdays from 4-5:30. In Person on Wednesdays in Brunswick from 11-12:30. Questions? Contact Kate Turpen at kturpen@drme.org 

We are looking for 15 more people with developmental/intellectual disabilities to join We Thrive Together, a six-lesson workshop focused on setting and defending your boundaries, understanding why sexual violence happens in Maine, how to help a friend if they’ve been through sexual violence, and building a plan to keep yourself safe.

We are looking for 5 attendees for the online and 10 for the in-person session.

The online curriculum will be held over Zoom:

  • Tuesday July 28th 2026 4pm-5:30pm
  • Tuesday August 4th 2026 4pm-5:30pm
  • Tuesday August 11th 2026 4pm-5:30pm
  • Tuesday August 18th 2026 4pm-5:30pm
The In-Person curriculum will be held at the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick:

  • Wednesday August 5th 2026 10am-12:30pm

The We Thrive Together curriculum was developed through funding of the Thrive Together Collaboration that brought together representatives from Maine Association for Community Service Providers, Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Speaking Up For Us, and Disability Rights Maine.
