Over the past 3 years, the Youth Self Advocacy Team has noticed a concerning gap in the sexual health education of students and young adults with disabilities. From confidence advocating for needs to basic knowledge of their body and how it works, students with disabilities should not be left out of these necessary lessons. Join Kate Turpen, Maine Family Planning’s 2025 Community Star, to growing your skill in leading these kinds of conversations, practice adapting free lesson plans to fit your classrooms’ needs, and discover important resources and relationships to engage in this work confidently!
