Training Requests for Service Providers and Other Organizations

Thank you for your interest in trainings offered by Disability Rights Maine (DRM). We accommodate training requests from businesses and organizations as our capacity and staff availability allow.

Before submitting this form, you may wish to visit DRM’s YouTube page to see if one of our pre-recorded trainings has the information you’re looking for. Trainings include: Accommodations After High School, Supported Decision-Making, and What Does the HCBS Settings Rule Mean to People Who Receive Services?

Additionally, DRM collaborates with the Department of Health and Human Services to offer free, monthly trainings on the rights of individuals receiving Developmental Services, as well as Visual Gestural Communication (VGC) trainings. You can find more information and register for these trainings on the OADS Trainings webpage.

To request a training from DRM, please review the fees outlined below and complete the online request form. Please provide us with as much information about your request as possible. We will be in touch to work out any details once we receive your request.

The requesting organization is responsible for providing any needed sign language interpreters and/or translators for staff who require those accommodations.

DRM asks organizations to pay for training services so that we can prioritize our limited training resources directly towards people with disabilities.
