Megan Marquis

Megan Marquis came to Disability Rights Maine as an Employment Advocate with community outreach and education experience working in historically underrepresented rural areas across the nation. She worked in Alaska and Wisconsin where she finished her Bachelors of Science in education. She also received a Certificate of Civic Engagement and Leadership from the University of Alaska in recognition for the civic work she completed. She understands employment hardships and consistently tries to make the world a better place for everyone in it through her work and volunteer community organizing. After working around the country, she ultimately moved to Maine to help her family in China Village and put down her own roots. On weekends you might find her hiking around the state or ice skating on a frozen pond during the winter.
