Emily joined Disability Rights Maine in 2023 as a staff attorney in the Mental Health Advocacy Program. She earned her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 2023.

During her time at Maine Law, Emily served as the 2022 Roger A. Putnam fellow in the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic’s General Practice Clinic. In this role, she used a trauma-informed, client centered approach to represent individuals in a wide range of legal matters including criminal defense, youth justice defense, family matters, and protection from abuse cases. Emily’s commitment to advancing equitable justice is also evidenced by her work as a legal advocate in a local domestic violence resource agency during both law school and her undergraduate years. There, she supported survivors as they navigated protection orders and family matters.

Emily holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of New England, with minors in Women & Gender Studies, Political Science, and Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Certification.

Outside of work, Emily finds joy in spending time with her fiancé, their two adorable orange cats, as well as close friends and family.
