Sara began her career at DRM as an intake coordinator in 2002 before transitioning to the role of Public Policy Director. In addition to coordinating DRM’s policy work, she supervises DRM’s intake unit and oversees data management for reporting and quality assurance purposes. Additionally, Sara collaborates with outside agencies and organizations to offer training around disability cultural competency and ableism.
In April 2021, Sara joined the Maine Health Access Foundation’s (MeHAF) Community Advisory Committee and serves as its Vice-Chair. She currently represents DRM on the MaineCare Advisory Committee and previously served on the mPower Loan Board, which oversaw Maine’s adaptive equipment loan program.
Sara received her undergraduate degree from Wheaton College (MA) and holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Management degree from USM’s Muskie School of Public Service.
