Program Description

Join Education Services for Blind and Visually Impaired Children (ESBVIC) for an overview of frequently accessed technology tools that support access, learning, independence, and participation for students who are blind or have low vision. This webinar will highlight devices from ESBVIC’s assistive technology collection, including portable and desktop CCTVs, handheld video magnifiers, OCR scanners and readers, refreshable braille displays, braille notetakers, and tablet-based systems. Participants will learn how features such as magnification, contrast adjustment, text-to-speech, image capture, distance viewing, braille access, Bluetooth connectivity, and portability can help match technology to a student’s visual needs, learning goals, environment, and daily tasks.
